BRIEF HISTORY

From humble beginnings as ‘One man and his van’ in 1978, Grace Landscapes has grown into one of the foremost commercial landscape contractors in the UK.

Founded in 1978, the company integrates horticulture, design and management, offering a comprehensive service encompassing every aspect of landscape construction from design through to contract completion and beyond with our managed maintenance programmes.

Nunbrook Farm, purchased in 1994, comprises a 19th-century Regency period house, sensitively refurbished to provide a modern hi-tech workplace for 20 staff. The 10-acre site affords ample space for the requirements of a busy landscaping contractor where several additional outbuildings providing training facilities, machine maintenance and room for storage.

The company has expanded over the years and now undertakes contracts from the Midlands to the Scottish Borders; with a turnover exceeding £5 million for the last 10 years. Grace Landscapes currently employs over 130 full-time staff based at our four depots, ensuring work is run effectively and efficiently.

AREA COVERED

Head office for Grace Landscapes is at Nunbrook Farm, 1.5 miles from Junction 25 on the M62 situated between Huddersfield and Leeds. To support contracts throughout our working area, Grace Landscapes has regional offices in Durham, Warrington and Chesterfield, each with its own on-site management team.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

The company policy of employing it’s own qualified and experienced staff has led to Grace Landscapes being highly regarded within the industry and consequently winning numerous prestigious landscape awards including many from the respected British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI).

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

Having nurtured our customer base by offering a first class, quality service, over 85% of our turnover comes from repeat business from existing clients and recommendations. This is reflected in scoring over 94% in our customer satisfaction survey.

ENVIRONMENTAL CREDENTIALS

As an environmentally responsible company we established our own on-site re-cycling facility over 10 years ago. Grace Landscapes shred and compost all green waste producing PAS 100 certificated soil ameliorant for re-use whenever possible. Other waste products are sorted and recycled where feasible, reducing landfill waste to a minimum. Naturally this sits comfortably with the Company’s “Environmental Policy” and 14001:2004 accreditation.
